I BELIEVE IN SANTA CLAUS!

On the occasion of the winter holidays, Bucharest City Hall, through ArCuB, organizes during the period 4 – 23 December 2009, the 8th edition of the event entitled “I Believe in Santa Claus!”.
The alleys of Cişmigiu Park will be animated by fairy tale characters in a scenery designed by scenographer Dragoş Buhagiar, in order to recreate the atmosphere of the winter holidays. The first step toward a dream world will be the entrance in the park, where the Christmas tree will welcome both children and grown-ups and guide them to Santa’s Sledge, the Crib of Nativity and Santa’s House, a special place where children will feel the winter atmosphere.
The Christmas fair with the 35 especially arranged small houses will wait for its visitors with delicacies and souvenirs specific to the festive period, until the date of December 24th.
The evening of December 5th will mark the opening of the event starting with 19.30. We will wait for you to come and enjoy the show of the USA gospel group Raise Choir, who has prepared an extraordinary recital together with Brad Vee Johnson & Paula Seling, accompanied by Andrei Tudor Band.
The weekends of December 5th-6th, December 12th-13th and each day of the period of December 18th-23rd, will bring carol singers, theatre companies, lay and religious choruses as well as numerous beloved solo singers and bands in Cişmigiu Park.
In the morning, starting with 11.00 o’clock, children will enjoy an interactive programme with theatre shows, dance, music and magic. The vocal group Adagio, the theatre company Omidee, Robertino the Magician, the dance group Doremi, the Comic Opera for Children will bring shows full of joy to the young ones.
In the evening, starting with 18.30, some of the most important solo singers and bands of the moment, as well as folk artists’ groups or choruses will perform, singing the most beautiful carols. Among these, mention should be made of Brad Vee Johnson, Monica Anghel, Paula Seling, Narcisa Suciu, Analia Selis, Nicola, Andra, El Negro, Direcţia 5, Vunk, VH2, Proconsul, Bere Gratis, Delia, Elena Gheorghe, Provincialii, Ştefan Hruşcă.
